Roll It Up

Here’s a killer new custom roll-top backpack. This was special ordered by a customer who knew what he wanted. After discussing his options we decided on a bag with all of the features below. Like most of our full-size bags, this one features recycled billboard material (internal liner), recycled bicycle tubes (seam ribbon), and recycled yoga mat (strap pads) in the construction. This is the first roll-top we have constructed using the new pattern.  It came out beautifully!

Roll-top backpack

Features:
-Waterproof, old billboard vinyls as a liner, 1000d cordura outer
-bottle holder
-u-holster
-internal and external organization
-roll top
-fully removable/adjustable/replaceable shoulder pads
-removable chest and waist stabilization
-padded back
-sealed up/seamed with recycled bicycle tubes
-hidden pocket at the seam of the double layer on the bottom. opens along the seam facing your back. tough to spot.
-compression straps on the sides and bottom

We are still working on stocking up the Etsy store.  But, if you have a custom idea in mind, don't hesitate to drop us a line at grambaggage@gmail.com .  We love collaborations with our customers.  We also recently stocked up on some colored cordura and can't wait to use it.

Have a great weekend!  Summer's almost over!

Don't look a Gift Horse...

Our friends at the Exchange are opening a new shop in Gainesville, FL today! It’s called Gift Horse and it’s at 101 N. Main St., across from the Top (another favorite hangout of the gram crew). We have been working hard to get some fresh bags in the shop for its opening. So take some time from your busy schedule to check it out tonight, tomorrow, or whenever. Here’s a sneak peak of another new bag that will be available only at Gift Horse!

Vinyl Junkie

We’ve just scored a grand quantity of used billboard material for making bags. These former signs have graced the interstate along I-75 in Florida and now they’re becoming bags! Check out these pics we took while in the midst of processing all the material. There is sooo much! Can’t wait to get sewing.

A big thank you goes out to Bill in Ocala who hooked it up with all the material. Guess who’s getting a sweet bag for being totally awesome?

We're still here!

We've been busy at Gram Baggage...moving into a new apartment, setting up a new sewing room, etc.  But we are finally starting to crank out some bags and hope to start working on some more goodies.  Here are some of our projects currently in the works:

Project Purse

We are very excited to be working on a prototype for a purse to be featured in the Etsy store.  Here are some pics of the progress so far:

This is a great purse for the lady (or dude) who wants to hit the town but doesn't want to bring their messenger bag or backpack along. Three waterproof (lined with unused banner material cuttings from a friendly, local sign shop and sealed up with recycled bicycle tubes) compartments give you plenty of organization. Complete adjustment (including easy removal/replacement) capability of the strap allows it to fit any body in any way. Velcro closures secure your goodies.  Look for these in a variety of colors and patterns very soon in our Etsy shop!

Question Round Up

Even though gram baggage is only in its infancy, we started a formspring account to hopefully answer any questions that you may have.  We want to hear from you!   Here are some questions that we received this week-

How did you get so awesome?!
Good genes.

Love the bags and cant wait to see more. Does 'gram' stand for anything?
"gram" is an acronym for Glisson, Ramirez, Adams, and Murphy. Those are the last names of the four founding members of gram baggage! Plus we think metric is the way of the future. grambaggage.blogspot.com

when can we see more stuff?
We are working hard! We should be adding more stuff to the Etsy shop throughout the next month. Keep updated by following us on Twitter or our blog-grambaggage.blogspot.com

the gram sewing machine.  he's a big boy.

Keep those questions coming!

Have a fun and fabulous weekend!

Giddy Up Partner!

The gram baggage Etsy store is now stocked with U-Lock holsters. U-Lock holsters are an easy and stylish way to carry around that heavy bike lock.

Our U-lock holsters are made for durability and strength from two-inch, heavy-duty, black poly-propylene webbing. Heavy duty thread holds it all together. Just attach it to your belt or one of our special 1.5” poly-pro quick release utility belts and you’re off! Works with almost any U-lock (haven’t tested EVERY brand/model, but it can accept up to a 6” shackle) from mini to full size.

Never ride without your U-lock again, and keep those (steel) horse thieves at bay! Giddy-Up!
